Revelations of the Heart: Vision 1- “Who is the Real Terrorist?”

They just finished baking for an upcoming church event, exhausted from the endless whisking and icing cakes, we sat down at a table and danced into conversation.
Sandy looked her new black pastor in the eyes. Her conversational intentions was lavished with mischief. “I can’t believe we had a muslim president.”
He and his wife gasped with their mouths wide open. Their eyes were as alert as a deer in the headlights. Their ears were perked up as if they heard the sharp pitches of an annoying alarm clock.
The black pastor responded, “Oh wow, I never knew that.” She carried on,
“I ain’t gonna have no muslim teaching my child in public school either. I don’t get why they have that thang on their heads, but she ain’t wearing that around my child.”
She went on to blame Obama.
“He is not an American Citizen. He is a muslim and the republicans proved it.”
I was dumbfounded that she did not understand the difference between ethnicity and the Islamic faith.
